People from LGBTIQ communities around the world are facing increased challenges today, including attacks on human rights and freedoms. Co-presented by ARC International, Dignity Network Canada, Fierté Canada Pride - and sponsored by CUPE National, this panel brings together four leading activists from different parts of the world facing increasing challenges today. Panelists include Tina Kolos Orbán (Transvanilla Transgender Association, Hungary), Vivianne Vergueriro Simakawa (Akahata, Brazil), Georges Azzi (Arab Foundation for Freedom and Equality, Lebanon) and Steve Letsike (Access Chapter 2, South Africa). Moderated by Kim Vance-Mubanga, longtime global activist based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
